My adventure in Resita started 7 months ago. The decision that motivated me to do this type of volunteering was because I was a little bit lost in what I wanted to do in my life. A few months ago I was studying social education, but I came to the conclusion that it was not what I liked and, maybe this project can help me to discover it. My project is based on carrying out activities in schools with Gypsy childreen.
We work every day for two hours in different schools. I really like the work and also the way in which the SVE is structured, because we have the option to take days off and travel without spending a lot of money, this is another reason that pushed me to do it.
My passions are: art, travel, discover new cultures and new languages as English or Romanian.
And Let's go to speak a little bit how were my first days here.
The first day I arrive in the airport of Timisoara at 01.00 in the night and the adventure just started The guys who take me in the airoport didn't know how to speak english, only Romania, .I was all the travel to Resita trying to find some similars word with my language, but was so dificult for me to understand.
And the next days in Resita was for me impossible speak more than five sentences in English, but with help of my other volunteers friends and a little bit of Study is going better and better.
At the beginig we were four volunteers from four different countries (Spain,Turky, Belgium and Italy), The first Month was Nade, Nathan and Clemence. With theirs I start to improving my english, and with who I discover a little bit of Resita and some more places near.
Together we went to see the differents lakes that Resita have (Valiug, Doman, Semenic) doing some barbecue and tent night , then we also visited some others citys like Timisoara, Caransebes, Oravita.
In the last of the month we went a one younth proyect in one little village, Milcoveni, in the border with Serbia. In Milcoveni, is the place where our asociation is part of diferents younths projects, and they propouse us helping there during the weekend. And there we start to make more strong conexion and meet a lot of people with the same passions and ideas than us.
